Whose Bed Is This Anyway?

We came across Smashy's dog bed when we were putting things away from our move.
Yes, we realize that it is huge and can potentially be for a dog the size of a Great Dane, but as you can see, Smashy sometimes has to share it with Bailey.

"Here Smashy, try this hat on!"
Note the complete fear in Smashy's eyes!

As Bailey likes to say, "there you go!"
"Where's Smashy?"
"It looks better on me anyhow."
Smashy had enough and went to go sleep with Daddy in front of the fireplace instead.

Valentine's Day

We thought we would give Bailey a few treats for Valentine's Day. There's nothing like a big stuffed animal, a Valentine Mr. Potato Head, and some plates and bowls:)
Bailey wasn't real sure what to think.
Getting Bailey dressed in the morning can sometimes be a challenge. We have to take it in steps. Usually I can get her pajamas off first, then she runs around, I get her diaper changed, and she runs around some more, and then I can finally get her completely dressed....all of this, of course, while watching Elmo! Andy and I are ready to strangle that little red monster if we have to watch it one more time!

Anyhow, after Bailey played with all her presents, I got her pajamas off, her shirt on and then I had to go let the dog in.
I came back to this:
Bailey had pulled her diaper off and was just standing there with her cute little biscuits hanging out watching Elmo. When I asked her where her diaper was, she pointed to it and said, "Uck".

Here we are all dressed in red for Valentine's Day.
Still missing socks and shoes, but we're lucky to get those on at all during the day.
I even let her have a sucker for breakfast. I was in a really patient mood yesterday:)
I got wise and put a bib on her so we wouldn't have the outfit completely trashed before 10:00am.
"Smashy, want a lick?"
"Mommy, why do you keep telling me 'no' when I try to share with Smashy?"
Sometimes at the end of the day, this is how we roll at our house - shirt, diaper, and boots!
Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day!

Let It Snow!

A couple weeks ago, we were hit with a lot of snow - about 6 to 8 inches, which is a lot for us down here in good ol' Arkansas. The town was in a panic and schools were closed and not many went into work. We were all getting a little stir crazy around our house, so we thought we would go out and enjoy it!
"Got my mittens on! See?"
"Time for my jacket!"
Since snow is rare for us, Bailey doesn't have a snowsuit yet.
"Hold my hand Mommy and help me walk in this crazy stuff!"
"Say Cheese."

In the end, Bailey wasn't much of a fan, but that is because she could barely move!
Time putting on two pairs of pants, an undershirt, shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, gloves, hat, socks, and boots - 15 minutes!
Time spent outside - 3 minutes!
Oh well, we'll try again next year.

GO COLTS!

I'm half Hoosier, remember?
Daddy's cheering for the Colts today too, but only because those Saints beat his beloved Vikings! Maybe next year Daddy!
GO COLTS!
