10 Months!

Bailey was sick two weeks ago, I had a busy work week last week, and Andy has been out of town, but yes, we are still alive - just a little behind on our blogging.
Bailey turned 10 months a couple of days ago and we can't believe how fast she is growing. She is FULL of personality. She babbles constantly, crawls faster than lightening, and can now pull herself up on anything!
Here she is pulling herself up on the TV stand trying to get her Praise Baby DVD.
She pulled herself up on the coffee table so she could get mom's car keys.
Probably the most alarming is that she pulls herself up constantly on the baby gate - that keeps her from tumbling down the basement stairs! If that gate gives way, we are in a load of trouble. However, I must add that I am always near by and don't let her play around on the gate for long.
"Let me down there! I need to see how I want to turn Daddy's man room into my play room!"
"I'll just pull myself up and jump over!"
"I'm not kidding."
"Whew, that was hard work. I need a Diet Coke to Quench my thirst."
"Nana came back to visit and as always, she took such good care of me while Mommy and Daddy were busy working. Thank you Nana! Come back again soon!"
"And thanks for always letting me play with and eat your glasses. They're delicious!"

Yay Daddy!

Daddy's going back to school! We just got word that Andy was accepted into the Walton Graduate School of Business (University of Arkansas).
Work by day - study by night!
Congratulations Daddy! Mommy and I are very proud of you.

More Easter Fun!

It was a yucky Easter day, but that didn't stop us from getting up, going to church, and of course getting Bailey all decked out in some Easter attire!

"Seriously, another picture!?!"
After church we went to one of our favorite restaurants for brunch, but this little one slept right through it. I guess all of the excitement in the nursery wore her out. It's OK Bailey, you wouldn't have been able to eat anything anyhow. Maybe next year.
Raising the railing on her crib hasn't stopped this little bunny from pulling herself up.
On another note, Bailey woke up with a fever this morning. We are now battling an ear infection and a fever, but are hoping our little bunny will feel better soon.

What? An ear infection?

Bailey had her nine month check up yesterday and it turns out she has a slight ear infection! This obviously explains the sleepless nights last week which I thought was teething! A couple months ago when I thought she had one, she didn't, and now that she actually has one, I didn't even take her in. Bad Mommy:( The other funny thing is that she didn't make a fuss on our flight to Indiana, which I thought for sure would have made her ears explode. Guess not. Anyhow, Bailey is taking medicine and the last two nights have been much better.
Here are Bailey's nine month stats:
Weight: 21 pounds, 10 ounces (87th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (24th percentile)
Head Circumference: 44.5cm (61st percentile)
All in all, I think Life is Good for this little one.
BUSTED!

Final Four Surprise!

Bailey and I went back to good ol' LaPorte for just a quick trip to surprise Granddad and watch the Final Four with him. Here are a couple pictures from our quick trip to LaPorte.
The Easter Bunny came early and Bailey got her very first Easter basket!

Not only did she get a dancing pig, an alligator, a pillow, and of course some clothes, but she also received the final two Praise Baby DVD's. Now our Praise Baby collection is complete.
"Nana, these flowers sure are pretty, but they don't smell like much."
"I helped Nana make dinner. I can't wait until I can eat some Texas Toast."
"Then Nana taught me how to play the piano. Supposedly Nana really wanted Mommy to play the piano when she was growing up, but Mommy threw an absolute fit every time Nana made her sit down to practice. Needless to say, Mommy doesn't play the piano now at all. I think Nana secretly hopes that I will. We'll see."
"Here I am hanging out with Granddad watching some basketball and eating my biter biscuit."
"Oh, this game is intense."
"Granddad was trying to nap, but I wouldn't let him. Granddad took such good care of me in the morning. He took me and played with me every morning while Mommy went back to bed...something about me not letting her get her 10+ hours of sleep anymore. Whatever Mommy!"
"We are such great pals."
"Guess who else came home to see me...Uncle Tim!"
"Uh, Uncle Tim, do you know you have a bear on your head?"
"The trip was short, but so much fun and relaxing. There is nothing better than grandparents. Thanks Nana, Granddad, and Uncle Tim for taking care of me. I can't wait to see you again soon."

Nap Surprise!

It's been a rough couple of nights here at our house. Bailey has a small cold, but teeth are definitely no fun. She has been getting up several times during the night just screaming. We usually give her some Tylenol, rub her gums with baby Orajel and then rock her back to sleep. I lowered the railing on her crib for easier access. Bailey has yet to pull herself up on anything by herself, so when I went to get her from her nap this morning, I was shocked!
