Bailey's First Thanksgiving

Bailey got to celebrate her very first Thanksgiving up in LaPorte with Nana, Granddad, Uncle Tim, and Wendy.
Uncle Tim just recently got back from a Mission Trip to Costa Rica and he is showing Nana and Bailey his pictures.
Nana and Bailey are deep in thought and are realizing how very grateful they are to have so much when so many people have so little.
The children of Costa Rica like Uncle Tim so much that they give him their very own stuffed animals. Uncle Tim was so generous as to give them to Bailey.
Bailey likes this bird the best.
Before we left for Nana and Granddad's, Bailey had her first bad cold. Her eyes watered and she coughed and sneezed quite a bit. However, there was probably no better place to be as Bailey was played with, hugged, kissed, fed, held, and rocked until the VERY EARLY hours of the morning by Nana and Granddad so she could sleep...and mom and dad could get some sleep too! Below are several pictures of everyone taking such good care of her.

All of Granddad's kisses made Bailey feel much better!

The beautiful turkey prepared by Nana. Bailey can't wait until next year when she will actually get to eat real turkey!
Uncle Tim, Wendy, and Bailey. Bailey decided since she can't eat any real turkey, her thumb will work just fine.

Bailey gets to celebrate actual Christmas Day with Mor Mor and Bumpa this year, so we had Christmas with Nana and Granddad while we were home for Thanksgiving. Bailey is sporting one of her many Christmas outfits.
Mom putting on the final touch...the shoes!
Bailey says, "I can sit by myself! I don't need that pillow!"
"Oh no, here comes mom to wipe my nose again!"
"I hate when she does that!"
We didn't last too long in the outfit, so we put on a more comfortable one and then Bailey got into a staring contest with Uncle Tim.
Bailey won...and Daddy had a staring contest for three days with the TV.
He watched MANY hours of football.
Time to open Christmas presents.

Bailey sporting some Christmas socks (that actually light up) and her first IU basketball!
A Busy Bible, cool!
and a book!
"Can I just eat the book instead of read it?"
Bailey also got her first baby doll....and if you look real close, the doll's name is Bailey too!
Bailey was happy to give Nana and Granddad a gift certificate.
This is what it looked like the day we left LaPorte!
Bailey had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas in LaPorte and thanks everyone for the gifts. Andy, Jill, and Bailey have so much to be thankful for this year, but one of the most important is that we are so blessed with loving friends and family.
Now it's up to Minnesota in a couple weeks to see Mor Mor and Bumpa. Somehow, we think that there might be more snow than this up there! Stay tuned.
